Dr. Domenico Trocchi graduated from Fairfield University, Fairfield, CT in 1986 with a Bachelor of Science Degree (BS) in Biology/ Pre-Medicine. In 1991, he graduated from Southern College of Optometry, Memphis, TN earning a Doctor of Optometry Degree (OD) . Upon graduating, Dr. Trocchi wanted to return to his hometown of Waterbury, CT. In 1992, he established Trocchi Family Optometry, LLC in Waterbury. He has been practicing for over 25 years at this location enjoying the diversity that Waterbury offers; as well as giving back to his native city. Dr Trocchi is bilingual. His language is English; but he can also speak Italian. Because of his knowledge of the Italian language, he is able to converse with his Spanish speaking patients as well. Dr. Trocchi provides primary eyecare including comprehensive eye exams, contact lens exams, and medical eye treatment within the scope of Optometry . He offers approximately 600 fashion designer frames including sunglasses in the optical display area. When not at the office, Dr. Trocchi enjoys family time, golf with his son, and learning to play the guitar.
Dr. Preli-Trocchi graduated in 1986 with a Bachelor of Science Degree (BS) in Biology/Pre-Medicine from The College Of Mount Saint Vincent, Riverdale, NY. In 1990, she received a Doctorate of Optometry Degree (OD) and an additional Bachelor of Science Degree (BS) from Salus University (formerly known as The Pennsylvania College of Optometry), Philadelphia, PA. Dr. Preli-Trocchi works part-time providing primary eyecare including comprehensive eye exams, contact lens exams, and general medical eyecare within the scope of Optometry. She is a partner of Trocchi Family Optometry, LLC which was originally founded by her husband Dr. Domenico Trocchi in 1992. Dr. Preli-Trocchi is proud to be a Wife and Mother. She is also a dedicated advocate for autistic children and adults- always researching the medical and health aspects of autism as a way to continue to improve the quality of their lives.
